Unfortunately, there is no way to extend my tax deadline. I file as an S-Corp, so my double FICA is due January 15. The state and unemployment taxes are due January 31, but this is the smaller piece. I paid these already with checks dated 12/31 so I can deduct them from last year’s income.

So tomorrow is the day. I’ll see what’s in my bank account and then go make my payment. I basically write a check to Wells Fargo and give it to a banker, who then forwards the money to the IRS.

You're looking in the right place...ultimately, it's all in God's hands. Just reading your last few posts, you seem to be handling it all great...(what a blessing, a new baby!) even with all the financial stresses...is there a way to extend the deadlines for the taxes, or is it already taken care of?
