Or perhaps its not clear me what you mean by this. Certainly it's helpful to have money, because by having money I can buy things but other than that... I don't really put my trust into anything. Like most people I'm fairly self-reliant and I'm connected to lots of friends, and I just do my best to live a productive and fulfilling life. Heck, you can't even rely on money when you are gainfully employed anymore. As we've found out, your job can disappear in an instant. It's interesting that you bring this up now. Our church has been really short on income this year (like $30,000 short). We took last Sunday and just prayed that God would give us direction. Just yesterday someone dropped off a check for $15K. I'm definitely trusting God more than money. It's not always easy, but I've found that times of testing cause us to grow dramatically in our faith. You are so very right.
