We were both still young and our marriage did not last long. But since my credit was good, everything was in my name. Once we got a divorce ( a very ugly divorce) i ended up with all the bills and my credit plummeted. Ever since then it seems impossible for me to get my credit up again. I make good money and pay my bills on time but my score seems to hover around 640 - 650. I am now remarried to a great woman and we have been looking to buy a house. The lower credit score has been killing our chances. It seems because of the housing crisis, homes are cheaper but loans are harder to get. Lenders only want you if your score is 700/720 or better. The passion has passed on to others, family and friends. I can tell you that while I have not read this book, I have bloged, kept records and I have spent 100's of hours of communicating, reflecting and studying the credit industry, in my opinion 1 of the 3 most corrupt industries in the world. Ask for the other 2 and I can tell you that too! :-) I wish everyone a safe holiday and focus on your goals, never do a single action that is not focused on it.
