Late Tuesday night, Karen Datko of the MSN Smart Spending blog referenced my debt reduction blog and a few of the articles I’ve written recently. I was super excited, and would’ve mentioned this yesterday, but I was up in the mountains enjoying some fresh snowfall.
As a blogger, it’s sometimes easy to lose motivation and wonder whether you’re making a difference or not. It’s times like these that make it worth it.
With that in mind, I want to thank you for reading this blog, and thank you especially for leaving comments and sharing my writing with others. I deeply appreciate it.

Hey Ryan,
Thanks for the mention of the mention. ;-) But I’d like to point out that it wasn’t me who referenced your work — it was actually Karen Datko, the other half of the Smart Spending team.
Good luck with your “buy nothing new” campaign. I believe you can do it. Don’t forget to check yard sales — I’ve found some GREAT, brand-new birthday and holiday gifts at yard sales, and that’s also where my daughter got all of the serving items she’ll need for her upcoming wedding reception.
Thanks for reading Smart Spending, and sharing your work with the blogging community.
Best regards,
Donna Freedman
Hey Donna – Thanks for your encouragement. And thanks for catching that mistake. :-0
I just corrected the post to reflect Karen’s name. Sorry about that.
